“I am an actor and director with the Royal Theater Royal Players in Benton, Arkansas. I recently directed our youth theater group (the Royal Theater Young Players) in their summer presentation of “Alice in Wonderland.” I have a very unique vision when directing, and this show was no different. I wanted the kids to be a part of something truly special before heading back to school. As Jason [Watts] and I are old friends, I decided to ask him for a simple favor: A three-minute original piece in the steampunk style to open the show. What I received was an original overture, two pieces for intermission, and a piece for curtain call. His gift of music helped make the ‘Summer of Alice’ something unique and special that will live in these kids memories for years to come.”
